Good Times

Catering & Banquets

Good Times Restaurant and Bar is a log cabin establishment built in 1977 at the top of the hill on Bissen St. The original owners, Pat and Jean Becker and Jack and Diane Hauser, built the building having live music, a full menu, lunches, and a good bar. The pizzas have always been the backbone of the business, made completely from scratch, and the pizza sauce is a secret blend of Jean and Diane’s design. A few years into the business, Pat and Jean bought out Jack and Diane. The Becker’s ran Good Times successfully for 14 years.

In May of 1992 Pat and Jean sold the business to Dave and Kris Wedl, the current proprietors. The Wedl’s bought Good Times because of its unique atmosphere and its great reputation for pizzas. A very extensive menu was added and catering became a mainstay. The Wedl’s remodeled and renovated the restaurant adding more windows and booths for seating. Dances are still held and spirits are enjoyed!

Good Times boasts one of the most extensive displays of wildlife prints and taxidermy in the area. “Bucky” (the famous poached buck shot in the county fairgrounds, case still unsolved) hangs above the center of the bar. Another 10-point buck is displayed above the north windows. A 58” Alaskan Bull Moose has a place of honor on the south end of the building. Full mount grey fox, mink, wild turkey, pheasants and numerous fish, along with two shoulder mount caribou, round off the wildlife displays. Hunters come into the area and enjoy the “lodge” atmosphere; locals come for the great food and camaraderie. Good Friends - Good Food - Good Times!
